Plant & Machinery Operator
Excavator, dozer, grader and loader operators who move dirt safely, accurately and on production targets.
Bulk earthworks and mine infrastructure production lives or dies on the people running the machines. Our Plant & Machinery Operators have logged real hours on WA construction, civil and mining sites — not just ticket training — across excavators, dozers, graders and loaders.
What this role covers
- Excavator, dozer, grader and loader operation to design tolerances
- Cut/fill, trenching, batter and drainage work
- Daily pre-starts, plant inspections and basic maintenance checks
- Working to survey pegs, grade stakes and machine-control guidance
- Safe operation around other plant, crews and live traffic
- Production reporting to the Supervisor/Superintendent
Indicative client charge rate
$650–950 / day, ex GST
Planning range — validated quarterly against live WA market conversations. Candidate pay depends on ticket class, machine type and site conditions.
